Feedback from ATRS 2017

The Air Transport Research Society World Conference 2017 took place on 5-8 July in Antwerp, Belgium.
One of the PhD candidates involved in AIRMES, Qichen Deng from Delft Unversity of Technolgy, presented the C-check scheduling optimization from the project in the session "Operation Research in Air Transport".

The presentation was entitled "A usage parameters based dynamic programming approach for aircraft C-check scheduling". Some of the participants asked questions about modeling and optimization algorithm, formulation of different C-check intervals as constraints in the optimization problem or use of other optimization algorithm.

Two other presentations were scheduled in the session i.e. “An Integrated Model for Flight Frequency Determination, Fleet Assignment and Aircraft Routing” and “Global Developments in the Level of Airline Timetable Synchronization”.
