Feedback from ILA 2018

AIRMES was represented at ILA Berlin on 25-29 April 2018
The Virtual Reality (VR) ​demonstrator from the project was presented by the partners ISQ and TAP Air Portugal at the joint stand of the European Commission and Clean Sky 2 (Hall 2, stand 304).



The demonstrator has been designed as a cost-effective tool for improving maintenance operations and skills. It can be used for parts and working areas with difficult access and low visibility. The VR system is expected to provide a high-level training, reliable information to the technicians on the maintenance operations, facilitate the identification and execution of the procedure to be applied and improve the repair time.

Many visitors could try the demonstrator and check their skills to disassemble and assemble the Wing Anti Ice Valve (WAIV).
