Feedback from MRO Europe 2018
The Virtual Reality (VR) demonstrator from the project was presented by the partners ISQ and TAP Air Portugal at the airline’s stand.
The demonstration of the AIRMES VR was a huge success. The event was mostly oriented to the MRO market, which allowed the AIRMES partners to exchange about the prototype, and the project in general, with a lot of visitors from the industry. An important highlight is the fact that the participating partners received a lot of comments praising the prototype and AIRMES, which is an excellent indicator that the outcomes of the project are going in the right direction to improve the way we perform aircraft maintenance.
Reminder: the AIRMES demonstrator has been designed as a cost-effective tool for improving maintenance operations and skills. It can be used for parts and working areas with difficult access and low visibility. The VR system is expected to provide a high-level training, reliable information to the technicians on the maintenance operations, facilitate the identification and execution of the procedure to be applied and improve the repair time.
