Feedback from ERTS 2018

The 9th European Congress Embedded Real Time Software and Systems took place on 31 January – 2 February 2018 in Toulouse, France.

Results from AIRMES were presented on 1st February at 17:30. Olivier Poitou from ONERA gave a presentation entitled “Formal architecture modeling for documenting and assessing Aeronautics Maintenance: A case study”.

The corresponding paper is also available on the website of the event.

The presentation received very positive comments. It was appreciated that the AIRMES consortium has been at the forefront in the process of improving aeronautical maintenance activities. The attendees also recognised the efforts made in the integration and evaluation of the project partners’ contributions “as a whole”, in particular ONERA’s pragmatic and flexible approach for free modeling based on heterogeneous input which does not require specific formalism from suppliers of technologies. The use of NAF – NATO Architecture Framework was highlighted as a means to produce a standard and homogenous description of the entire system.

The ERTS² congress is an international cross-sector event addressing all the domains where embedded systems are central such as transportation (aeronautics, automotive, railway, subway and marine), satellite and space exploration,  energy, telecommunications and wireless connectivity, e-healthcare, home automation, defence and industrial control.
